Hi,
I'm Leonardo Occhipinti a student from University of Palermo, Palermo, Italy. I'm trying to use USEtox to estimate the human toxicity derived from a production phase of a car. Two of a biggest emissions during this process are sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2). I searched them among the substances in the substance_data both organic and inorganic but I haven't found them
Aren't they present in the database? Can't I evaluate the toxicity derived from this two?
Thank you, Leonardo Occhipinti
USEtox is not suitable for characterizing inorganic air pollutants that undergo complex reaction kinetics, such as SO2 and NO2. These pollutants are also not usually considered in the impact category of "human toxicity" but in "particulate matter formation" for which other models than USEtox are used.
