<FIND> option for searching chemicals in USEtox model

I have problems with the search form in the USEtox model, sheet <Run>, cell <M5>.

  1. When using the FIND button after opening the USEtox workbook, it does not run, before I unprotect the sheet <Run>.
  2. In uprotected mode: When I try to find for example the chemical <phenol> (should be in row 59), it points to the row for another chemical, namely <2,4-dimethylphenol> (see attachment). Why?

Thank you for your questions.

Thank you for your questions.

To use the <FIND> function in the <Run> sheet of the USEtox model, it is indeed necessary to first unprotect the sheet. This will be solved in the next official USEtox version (not yet in the beta version, however).

Searching for individual substance terms (or sub-strings, i.e. only a part of a substance name) will always yield the first row (smallest row number), where a match with the search string is found. Since your search term <phenol> appears for the first time in the substance name <2,4-dimethylphenol> in row 30, this is what you get as result. However, this will be also improved in the next official USEtox version to avoid this kind of misunderstanding.
